Amazon basics wired keyboard review!

Hey there, Pro here!

     This is my first time to buy a product from new brand at least for me, because the name of brand is Amazon basics!

I was looking for the keyboard which have a best quality materials, comfortable for typing, no much key noice and have a cheap price.

before i had placed a order for it, i read all the customer review of the Amazon basics wired keyboard. Reviews are quite good for this keyboard.

the reason behind to looking for this one over others is cheap price and Chiclet type keys!

Usually chicklet type keyboards haves a high price point but this one, i get from amazon for almost $9.01 only. with free delivery.

I am reviewing this keyboard on 29 April, 2018.

Packaging is very basic of this keyboard nothing so special to talk about the packaging but, main keyboard is not just a basic!









Lets talk about keyboard,

1. size and weight

The size of the keyboard is 46 CM (horizontally) , 14.5 CM (vertically) and thickness is 1.5 CM. 

• Dimensions: 18x5.5 inches (LxW) 458x141.7 mm

Weight of the keyboard is 458 grams.

2. number of keys

Number of keys on this keyboard is 110 (including all keys)

3. Material

The the body of the keyboard is all made of plastic. but hey the plastic quality is better than others.

you may seen flimsy plastics on other keyboards in this price range!
Amazon basics keyboard have very good quality plastic. which is not flexible.

4. Looks

• Looks of body :- This keyboard have shiny looking plastic body, body have black color and  glossy finish for shiny looks.

  
  
  

• Looks of keys:- in terms of keys, keys have matt black color on it.

5. keys

This keyboard have 3 section on it.
keyboard have total 110 keys.

• Section 1.

First section have 77 keys.

In first section, top row of the first section have Ecs key, function keys, and two additional key.

Then as you can see, on the bottom of first section there are full fledged QWERTY keyboard with number keys and other keys like all traditional desktop keybored.

• Section 2.

second section have 13 keys.
in second section of keyboard have  tools keys like insert, home, Scroll lock, page up, page down, delete etc.

at bottom of the second section have directional keys.

• section 3.

Third section have 21 keys.
Third section is for dedicated number pad with dedicated volume control and 1 key for calculater.

remeber this is multimedia keyboard so, it have all the multimedia keys.

6. typing experience

because of chiclet keys this keys have less noice and good feel and feedback.

you can do lots of typing on it because of how comfortable it is.

7. indicator and light

Unlike other keyboards it has light  indicators integrated with Caps lock, scroll lock, num lock keys.
its looks unique and professional.

Color of the indicator light is green!

8. additional features

• it's have a taper at a bottom for inclined angle. its helps to create a angle for comfortable typing.

• you can connect it with your smart phone via USB OTG connector. but your smartphone must have support of OTG.

Pros of this keyboard

• the keyboard have very good quality plastic material.

• Chiclet keys.

• Less noice.

• Good feel and feedback.

• Extremely comfortable for long hours of typing.

• Dedicated multimedia keys.

Cons of the keyboard

(Remember in this cheap price we can't blame and consider the cons of the keyboard!)

• If you are from india and want a key for show rupee symbol, then it haven't a rupee symbol key.

• Because of glossy and shiny finish, the body is a fingerprint magnet. you have to clean it in every two days.

Conclusion

If you want buy a keyboard for typing and media then it is best for you! it have very professional looks and extremely lightweight.

Or

if you are looking for keyboard, only for gaming then, i am not recommend it for gaming. you can game on it but it has not gaming designed keys. so you can't really enjoy gaming on it.
